Rechargeable Battery Recycling Expands -- Disposable Battery Recycling Ends August 15
Recycling of disposable batteries will soon end in Meridian and a regional effort to promote rechargeable batteries will soon begin. Ingham County, where Meridian has previously taken batteries, will cease recycling of disposable batteries. The availability of rechargeables is one reason. These are far more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly in most instances.
